Taking the Big Leap Into Entrepreneurship

Willie and Ben talk about starting a business - https://youtu.be/lrILlu9YWvI

If you’ve been following what I’m building lately, you know I’ve been sitting down with local entrepreneurs who are actually taking the leap.

This episode was a good one.

I brought on Ben, a 23-year-old entrepreneur launching his first business, JBT Cleanout. He and his partners are building a garage and property cleanout company, but what stood out most wasn’t the service. It was the mindset.

We talked about starting before you feel ready. No perfect plan. No massive capital. Just low overhead, strong relationships, and the decision to move.

Ben shares how they floated multiple ideas before landing on this one, and why being young, without major responsibilities, can actually be your biggest advantage. We also get into what separates them from “two guys in a truck” — their focus on community partnerships, refurbishing items when possible, and giving back through local charities.

But the heart of this conversation is simple: take the risk.

There’s a learning curve. It won’t be perfect. You build it while you’re flying it.

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to start something, this might be your reminder that the right time rarely feels comfortable.
